Program for June 7, 2026

07:30 – Meeting & Departure
Meeting point: Billa Kazanlak parking.
Departure to the rose fields in the heart of the Rose Valley.

08:30 – Rose Picking Experience & Distillery Visit
Join the traditional rose picking ritual in the romantic gardens of the Valley. Visit a working rose distillery and see how rose oil is made.

Includes:
• Live demonstration of traditional rose oil distillation
• Essential oil testing
• Tasting: rose liqueur & rose jam
• Traditional Bulgarian banitsa and mineral water
• Free time for souvenir shopping

10:45 – Free Time for Museums
Optional time at leisure to visit selected museums around Kazanlak (tickets not included).

11:30 – Grand City Carnival Parade
Enjoy the colorful parade with folklore groups, music, and traditional costumes.

13:00 – Lunch & Folklore Show
Barbecue lunch with a rich Bulgarian folklore programme.

Private Rose Magic

Rose picking (meeting with bread and salt – an ancient Bulgarian style; rose picking in the rose fields);

Representative modern and authentic distillery of roses.

Testing of rose and other ethereal oils; tasting the Bulgarian pastry, jam of roses and rose liquor.

Having a lunch. Folklore program on request.

This program is realized through the blossoming of the oil-bearing roses from 20 May to 10 June.

This program is offered all the time in the year with visiting rose gardens, without rose picking.
